Club Projects Implemented During 2009 – 2010 Rotary Year

  • Charity Concert. Collected funds for charity – LTL 9 500.
  • Project „Art for Children“– education project for school children. They can visit museums and participate in various workshops for minimal fee. The project will be going on till December 31st, 2010.12.31, total allocated amount is LTL 9 500.
  • Project of „Literatai street“ (www.literatugatve.lt) – renovation of the part of the street in Vilnius old town, the Club financed additional renovation works and allocated LTL 2 000 for fixing of the new works of art to the wall.
  • Project „National Academy of Schoolchildren“ (www.nmakademija.lt) – is the project aiming at development and support of young talents of Lithuania. The Club allocated LTL – 5 000.
  • Project in remembrance of famous artist and musician Napoleonas Orda. The Club financed publication of CD. Total project amount – LTL 2 500.
  • The Club allocated LTL 2200 as awards for 6 most capable schoolchildren of Rimdžiūnai and Pelesa schools. Those schools are in Belarus.
  • Renovation of staircase in Black Virgin Chapel – the Club monitored the transferring of Swiss benefactor charity to the account of the Bishop Office and also monitored the implementation of reconstruction. Total project amount EUR 30 000.
  • The Club supported the initiative of Česlovas Stonys to drive the children to their mothers that are in prison. Total project amount is LTL 1 000. Money will be transferred in autumn 2010.
  • The Club participates in the common project of several Rotary Clubs „Development of Personal Financial Skills of Lithuanian Schoolchildren”. The Club allocated LTL 1 000 for the project.
  • The Club prepared and sent out necessary documents for getting Matching Grant from Rotary International. Our partners in the project are several Norwegian Rotary Clubs. Aim of the project: to support 2 social institutions, located in Švenčionys: rest-home/amount of the support is LTL 41.433 / and children home/amount of the support is LTL 41.433/.
